1. Overview
Simple Invoice is built local-first. This policy explains the very little data involved in using the App and this website — there isn't much to explain.
2. The data you create
Invoices, clients and business details you enter into Simple Invoice are stored only on your own computer. We never see, collect or transmit that data anywhere.
3. License activation
To activate or validate a paid license, the App sends your license key and the email used at purchase to our payment processor's License API. That is the only time the App shares information on your behalf, aside from checking a public file to notify you about available updates — which involves no personal information.
4. Purchases
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record. They collect the billing details needed to process your payment (name, email, card information) under their own privacy policy. We only receive your email and license key, so we can fulfill your order and provide support.
5. This website
mysimpleinvoice.app uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic — pages visited, referral source, approximate location and device type. This data is collected by Google under its own privacy policy and does not identify you personally to us. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner — declining keeps your visit anonymous. The desktop App itself contains no analytics or tracking of any kind.
6. Data retention and deletion
Your invoice data lives entirely on your computer — uninstalling the App removes it. To deactivate or transfer a license, or to ask us to delete purchase records tied to your email, contact support@mysimpleinvoice.app.
7. Children's privacy
Simple Invoice is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
